Data102 and Quonix Join Forces!

Yes, you heard right! As of February 1st, 2019, Data102 has merged with Quonix Solutions, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania datacenter and IT solutions provider. We have since then been actively integrating back office tools, processes, and products to provide a best of breed experience to all customers globally.

Although Quonix Solutions is the surviving entity, it has chosen to adopt and retain the Data102 name going forward. "We feel that Data102 has a great brand and a strong track record of operational excellence, and we think that this will better serve our customers going forward," said CEO Adam Parker, who is continuing as CEO for the combined entity.

Data102 is focused on expanding its footprint, and is actively pursuing additional locations throughout the US.

Questions and Answers

Q: What does this joining of forces mean for me?

A: Only good things! Quonix customers will immediately get access to our Ops portal and expanded staffing. We are also using Data102 as a blueprint to overbuild some of the Quonix operations. Data102 customers will have access to both Philadelphia locations for services, including Disaster Recovery, as well as greater economies of scale -- and as we add more locations, that means better products for better prices.

Q: Why did this happen?

A: Data102 has been a well-oiled machine for quite some time, and the owners decided that with the right people, it can really go places and do things. We found some outside folks with grand ambitions (Quonix), brought them in on the deal, and are working together to continue to grow Data102 both organically and through acquisitions.

Q: How do I contact you?

A: Nothing changes here either - 719-387-0000 for Colorado Springs, or 888-Data102 everywhere else. No changes to the Philadelphia customers, either -- 800-248-1736 still takes you straight to the PHL staff.

Q: How do I get to the new customer portal? Does it do everything?

A: You can log into Data102's customer portal by visiting - The Data102 portal does nearly everything and is very comprehensive - not just invoicing and support, but also total service management. If you haven't seen it yet and would like access and a demo, please let us know!

Q: What happened to the people / any staffing changes?

A: Not much! John, Adam and Brandon are still on the PHL team. COS has all the regular players, with two changes: Dave has moved to California with his family, and Travis has moved over to Simpleworks as CEO.

Q: Speaking of, what about Simpleworks?

A: Simpleworks, a local Managed Services Provider, is still a partner of Data102, but we no longer share any management. Although we'll miss them at our Monday Morning meetings, Data102 is back to being an arms dealer to MSPs, consultants, and channels - all are welcome!
